Well known and consumed all over Italy but this beloved succulent winter dish comes from the Tuscany tradition… a lavish meal enriched with garden vegetables and flavour of red wine just opened. 

Cantuccini and Vin Santo

Typically served as after dinner dessert those twice cooked almond cookies are served with a Vin Santo (fortified sweet wine) into which they may be dunked.
